Leadership Development for Higher Education ReformIAU

Here is a possible funding source for work which could combine a theme on Leadership and International partnership – though the grants are limited and the focus is South-South and North-South partnerships. LEADHER is a project of the International Association of Universities and is funded by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SAREC/Sida), the King Saud University (Saudi Arabia) the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

The website has more details, but they summarise the intention of the programme as follows:

LEADHER

“Through the programme, Member institutions from different countries are able to form collaborative partnerships whose primary purpose is to exchange first-hand experience and expertise on recent reforms. LEADHER grants are avaiable to selected partnerships that aim to plan and carry out an institutional change strategy, building upon and improving a specific aspect of institutional reform. Grants will be made available for partnership projects that successfully demonstrate how collaboration will maximize the potential for success of the strategy and bring mutual benefits from taking part in the project and undertaking one or two ‘learning visits’.”

Is this a funding source that we could realistically be looking at? Are there any other possible funding sources worth looking at for either internationalisation or for leadership that any collaborations could be looking at?
