Teaching with Twitter?

University of Texas Dallas Professor of Emerging Technology, David Parry, discusses in this two and a half minute video how he is using Twitter to teach his class. This video is provide by the Chronicle of Higher Education. He explains that about half of his class used Twitter already and half didn’t.

Is this the future of technology enhanced learning? Do we have relevant complementary experience or expertise?  Are there some issues here which are worth collaborating on?
